  • Quaker Oats Package
Quaker Oats is a brand that aims to portray a fresh and healthy image. Quaker Oats also aims to place itself as a convenient alternative to other breakfast cereals.

Consumers will identify the shape of the packaging with convenience, as instant noodles are often packaged in a similar way. Yet the design of the packaging attracts the attention of those who have limited time yet are still focused on their health.

This piece was an entry into the D&AD 2010 competition. The only element supplied was the Quaker Oats logo. The company logo is situated at the top of the package, followed by the product name in the middle, with an image that represents the flavour of the product at the base. This creates uniformity throughout the product line, but still makes it easy for consumers to decipher between the different flavours on offer.

Creamy Oats is a breakfast alternative that will not disappoint, and with this new exciting packaging, Quaker Oats will be an attractive addition to anyone’s pantry!

  • Cheap Monday
Cheap Monday is a well known clothing brand that targets an audience of young people. To compliment the brand’s image, a television commercial was created which encompasses all of the aspects that make up the brand.

The commercial is a motion graphic, which depicts young people wearing the latest designs that come from the 2010 summer collection. Each person’s face was replaced with the company logo, which happens to be a skull, to increase brand awareness, and also to project the image of the band.

The commercial is set in a grave site, and although this approach is unique, andcould be almost considered ‘taboo,’ this setting appeals to young people who often like to see themselves as rebellious.

  • Troop Drill Invitation
Troop Drill was an event organized in Brisbane by artist Pat Hoffie in 2009. One aspect of her work deals with notions of work or labour. In Troop Drill, she drew from the military history of Fort Lytton to explore the parallels between the drilling and training of soldiers and the way audiences of contemporary art are controlled and mobilized.

This invitation was designed to attract those who wanted to partake in the event. The colour scheme was chosen to be eye catching and the imagery used was designed to portray the fact that the event was based around the history of Fort Lytton.
